Chris Nelson connected for a grand slam and a solo homer in an 8-4 win over the Yankees on Thursday. Nelson entered the day with zero homers over 176 plate appearances this season, but he had a power explosion against his former team. The grand slam was the first of his career. The 27-year-old should get most of the playing time at third base now that Alberto Callaspo is with Oakland, so he's a worthwhile option in AL-only leagues.
