Chris Narveson (thumb) could return on August 22 to start the second game of the doubleheader against the Pirates. After having eight stitches removed Monday, Narveson was able to throw off a mound Tuesday for the first time since slicing up his left thumb. Though the session went fine, he performed it with a bandage on his thumb, something he won't be allowed to wear when he starts. "That's the optimal," Narveson said of returning next Monday. "It's just a matter of getting that dead skin to heal up."
