Chris Heisey (hamstring) resumed a rehab assignment with Triple-A Louisville on Monday and went 2-for-4 with two singles and a run scored. Heisey served as the designated hitter. The 28-year-old aggravated his hamstring injury during his first attempt at a rehab assignment last month, so the Reds figures to be extra cautious this time around. Still, a return before the end of the month appears realistic if he can avoid setbacks.
