Choo (forearm) took batting practice Friday and hasn't ruled out a return during the final weekend of the regular season, T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports.

Earlier reports had Choo as a possible return at some point during the playoffs, but Friday's session went much better than expected. He'll take batting practice over the weekend and could report to the teams' facility in Arizona for some at-bats in the Instructional League early next week.
