Chien-Ming Wang was pounded for seven runs in 1 2/3 innings by the Red Sox on Thursday. Wang entered with a 2.18 ERA in three starts, but he couldn't miss any bats tonight. After getting three groundouts in the first, he walked two to start the second and gave up five straight hits afterwards. A double-play ball from Shane Victorino gave him a chance to survive the inning, but Dustin Pedroia followed that with a homer, resulting in the early exit. Wang has another tough assignment coming up against the Tigers, so he won't be worth using in AL-only leagues next week.
