Chien-Ming Wang (shoulder) allowed two runs on four hits over three innings Monday in his first minor league rehab start with Class A Hagerstown. Not only was it his first rehab appearance, it was his first professional start period since July 4, 2009. No word on his velocity during the outing, but Wang struck out three, walked none and hit a batter. Perhaps the most encouraging news is that he recorded six ground ball outs. The Nats have waited a long time for the 31-year-old right-hander following shoulder surgery, so today was a step in the right direction.
