Chen went two shutout innings in his Grapefruit League debut, allowing one hit and striking out one. Chen has had a quiet and healthy camp so far. He is coming off a 16-win season in which he had a 2.76 ERA after the All-Star break. Chen allowed 17 home runs in 104 innings in the first half, but just six home runs in 81.2 innings in the second half. With Chris Tillman as the Opening Day starter, Chen slides in as the No. 2 starter.
