Chase Whitley yielded four runs and eight hits in three innings versus the Twins on Friday. Whitley was handed six runs to work with, but he couldn't last long enough to get the win. If it hadn't happened that both homers he gave up led off innings, the day could have turned out a lot worse for his ERA. As is, it's still up to 5.14. Given his status as a career reliever until this year, it's possible he's already wearing down. The Yankees might need to try someone else at the back of their rotation.
