Chase Whitley improved to 3-0, allowing two runs over five innings as the Yankees defeated the Blue Jays 7-3 on Wednesday. Whitley hasn't been an innings-eater, but has otherwise served well out of the rotation since his insertion in mid-May. The right-hander allowed five hits, walked one, and struck out two against the scary Toronto offense. Whitley will take a 2.56 ERA, a 1.03 WHIP, and a 26/4 K/BB ratio into his next start against the Blue Jays on the road.
