Chase Headley was ejected from Monday's game against the Giants in top of the ninth inning. Headley threw his bat after striking out swinging for the second out of the inning. He went 1-for-4 with a sacrifice fly before getting tossed by home plate umpire Tim Timmons. Alberto Gonzalez replaced him at the hot corner.
