Jennings notes that the Yankees have already made it clear that Francisco Cervelli will return next season, and that there's no reason to send Austin Romine back to Triple-A. Rather than spending guaranteed money on a defensive-first option like Stewart, they should be able to secure a similar type of player on a minor league deal.
