Chad Gaudin was knocked around in a no-decision against the Marlins on Friday, allowing eight runs on 11 hits over his four-plus innings. Gaudin struck out five while issuing four free passes in the game. He was staked to a 7-0 lead after two innings, but was unable to keep the Marlins offense at bay as they struck for four in the third, one in the fourth and three more in the fifth before chasing Gaudin. Even with this atrocity, he still owns a stellar 3.06 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 88/40 K/BB ratio through 97 innings on the season. He'll try to put this one behind him when he takes on the Red Sox at home on Wednesday.
