Cessa gave up four runs in 1.2 innings of work Thursday, allowing six hits while striking out two and walking one.

It was his first appearance in 12 days and his worst outing of spring so far, as the 24-year-old had only conceded two runs in his previous six innings before missing time with an illness. Cessa is battling for one of the final two spots in the Yankees' rotation, and although this outing didn't help, he'll have plenty of chances to prove himself the rest of spring.
