EDGE Analysis
The rookie continues to improve with each successive trip to the mound, with Friday's outing being the most impressive. Cessa fired 66 of his 99 pitches for strikes and notched an impressive 16 swinging strikes overall. He consistently got ahead in the count as well, notching first-pitch strikes on 17 of the 23 hitters he faced. Manny Machado was the only spoilsport, touching him up for all three runs he gave up on the strength of a pair of homers.
