CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that Chase Headley has been placed on waivers. He seems likely to get claimed, but the odds of a deal being worked out aren't good. Headley has disappointed after last year's breakout, batting only .237/.328/.368 with eight homers and 35 RBI over 110 games this season.
