CBS Sports' Danny Knobler reports that top prospect Jacob Turner will start for the Tigers Saturday against the Angels. That's what we figured. It was revealed late Friday night that Turner would be promoted, and him taking Duane Below's spot in the rotation was the logical move. The top prospect holds a 3.48 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 90/32 K/BB ratio over 113 2/3 innings for Double-A Erie this season. With the Tigers reportedly close to landing Doug Fister, Turner is expected to be around for only one start. But, with Brad Penny and Rick Porcello underperforming, we wouldn't rule out him getting more chances down the line.
