Carson was traded to the A's on Friday in exchange for cash considerations, True Blue LA's Eric Stephen reports. Carson has struggled with Triple-A Oklahoma City this season, posting a .179/.284/.250 triple-slash line over 68 plate appearances. Already 33 years old, he'll help the A's with organizational depth.
