Carrasco is being treated for a jaw contusion and does not have concussion symptoms, the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Zack Meisel reports. This is a good early report on the electric right-hander, who was carted off Tuesday after a comebacker hit his jaw and knocked him down. It seemed like the ball glanced his wrist before hitting his face, which may have helped lessen the blow. The fact that Carrasco appears to have avoided a concussion should lend optimism to the notion that he may not have to miss a start and he should at least be able to avoid the DL if the initial diagnosis is accurate.
