Carrasco (hand) was transferred to the 60-day disabled list Friday, MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco would not be healthy enough to pitch even if the Indians advance far into the playoffs, so the team decided to move him to the 60-day disabled list in order to open up a spot on the 40-man roster for Yan Gomes. Carrasco will be back at 100 percent sometime this winter though, and will almost certainly head into next season as the Indians' No. 2 starter.
