Carrasco (9-6) held the Tigers to two runs on five hits over eight innings Wednesday, striking out seven and walking one in an 8-2 victory. After giving up 24 hits in 16.2 innings over his last three starts, Carrasco saw his luck normalize in this one. He continues to display sharp control -- he's walked more than two batters in a start just once all year -- and he keeps piling up the strikeouts while doing a decent-enough job keeping the ball in the yard, so Carrasco's due to see some in his still-inflated 4.16 ERA. He'll draw the unimpressive Rays offense in his next start.
