Carrasco (5-3) lasted just 3.2 innings Sunday, allowing five runs (one earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out four in a loss to the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
The Indians committed two errors behind him, adding to Carrasco's pitch count and eventually forcing him from the game after 81 pitches, but at least the shaky defense helped him avoid too much damage to his ERA. He got out of the game in the nick of time too, as the Yankees exploded for six runs in the top of the fifth inning. Carrasco will carry a career-best 2.47 ERA into the second half, but his 1.10 WHIP and 72:20 K:BB in 73 innings are a little off the pace he set in 2014-2015.
