Carrasco (5-2) allowed two runs on four hits (two home runs) while walking one and striking out seven over seven innings in Monday's 5-3 win over the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco took a shutout into the seventh inning to win his third straight decision, and the only runs he allowed came on solo shots by Yonder Alonso and Ryon Healy. The right-hander has not lost a start since April 28 and lowered his ERA to 2.89 with the 101-pitch effort. It's an encouraging sign after Carrasco allowed nine runs in 10 innings over his last two starts and shows that he's fully healthy after missing a little time with a pectoral ailment. Home runs can be an issue (14.3 percent HR/FB), but the rest of his peripherals are rock-solid.
