Carpenter left Wednesday's spring training game against the Nationals in the third inning with a right quad contusion. A quad contusion is probably a best case scenario for Carpenter, as it probably won't cost him too much time overall. He left the game as the result of getting plunked by a pitch, and should be considered day-to-day at this point.
