Carpenter is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game in Miami. Carpenter dealt with a minor triceps issue earlier in the month, but he has still started every game in June. In his absence Tuesday, Mark Reynolds will get the nod at third base, allowing Xavier Scruggs to start at first base.
