Carlos Zambrano was so-so Monday, allowing five runs - three earned - on five hits and four walks over six innings in a loss to the Brewers. Big Z was hurt by his defense in a second straight start but to his credit gutted it out for another acceptable outing. His K/BB ratio has gone south in a hurry, though, as it's sitting at 15/22 over his last five starts. His 3.76 ERA and 1.35 WHIP for the year are still acceptable, but we can't really recommend him in mixed leagues right now. Zambrano faces the Cardinals this weekend.
