Carlos Zambrano pitched extremely well against the Nationals on Friday, allowing just one run on two hits in seven innings of work. Zambrano racked up six strikeouts and didn't walk a batter in the game. Big Z looked very impressive all night, but was simply outdueled by Ross Detwiler and the Nationals bullpen. The improved control and command of his pitches is a very encouraging sign moving forward. He'll attempt to duplicate this strong performance when he takes on the Mets in New York next week.
