Carlos Quentin, playing on a sore knee, went 0-for-2 with a walk before coming out of Saturday's loss to the Diamondbacks. Forget the $27 million; the Padres would be better off right now if Quentin was gone and Kyle Blanks was playing regularly in left field. A healthy Quentin is a nice hitter, but he's still a dreadful hitter and it's not like he's ever healthy enough to make a real difference. The Padres should seriously consider DLing him until he's closer to 100 percent.
