Carlos Quentin (knee) took batting practice Wednesday for the second day in a row, but there is no timetable for his return. Quentin was scratched from Monday's lineup with mild discomfort in his right knee, which is the same knee he's had surgery on twice over the last year. The Padres haven't indicated that they're concerned yet, but obviously this is a situation that warrants monitoring.
