Carlos Quentin (knee) is not in the Padres' lineup Tuesday and is unlikely to return before Friday. Quentin left Monday's game with more soreness in his surgically-repaired right knee. He's available to pinch-hit Tuesday, but with an afternoon game Wednesday and an off day Thursday, the Pads figure to hold him out of the starting lineup until the weekend.
