Carlos Quentin (knee) is expected to resume hitting in a week. Quentin, who is recovering from arthroscopic surgery on his right knee, has been swinging a bat while sitting on a chair, but he'll soon be ready to take regular batting practice. The 29-year-old could be back by the end of the month.
