Carlos Marmol had another Marmol meltdown Sunday, yielding four runs while recording just one out in a loss to the Mets. With Kevin Gregg unavailable, Marmol was tasked with protecting a 3-0 lead in the ninth, but the only out he was able to record was on a sac bunt. Marlon Byrd took him deep to lead off the inning, Lucas Duda drew a walk, John Buck knocked a single and Kirk Nieuwenhuis sent everyone home with a long walk-off homer. Marmol now holds an ugly 6.08 ERA and 1.72 WHIP for the season. The Cubs are hoping to trade him at the deadline, but it's hard to imagine anyone being interested.
