Carlos Gonzalez (finger) said he "felt really good" while taking 50 swings off the batting tee at Coors Field on Monday. It's the first time he's tested out his sprained right middle finger since playing in the instructional league. "It's getting stronger. It felt really good. No issues," said Gonzalez. "I am happy with how it feels." CarGo decided against surgery on the finger and doesn't want to change the way he grips the bat, worrying that it will compromise his power. It's certainly something to monitor going forward.
