Carlos Gonzalez (appendectomy) was cleared for physical activity after a check-up Thursday. Gonzalez underwent an emergency appendectomy a little under two weeks ago, but it shouldn't set him back too much in his offseason training program. The 28-year-old was limited to just 19 games after the All-Star break last year due to a sprained right middle finger, but it's not expected to be an issue going in 2014.
