Carlos Beltran singled and swiped a base in his return to the lineup for Game 5 of the NLCS on Friday.

Beltran was removed in the first inning of Game 3 with a strained left knee that also forced him to sit out Game 4 entirely. It didn't appear to be much of an issue on Friday though, as Beltran singled in his first at-bat then deftly swiped second base as Barry Zito paid very little attention to him. He's been a monster in the postseason, hitting .382 (13-for-34) with three homers, six RBI and also six walks.
