Carl Pavano (shoulder) threw live batting practice again Thursday but is not ready to pitch in a game. The Twins had been hoping the veteran right-hander would be ready to begin a rehab assignment Thursday. It shouldn't be long if he can avoid a setback, though he figures to need a handful of rehab starts given that he's been out two months.
