Cardinals designated RHP Chuckie Fick for assignment. He was cleared in order to make room for Brian Fuentes on the 40-man roster. Fick made two appearances with the Cardinals earlier this season and holds a 4.68 ERA and 20/13 K/BB ratio over 42 1/3 innings with Triple-A Memphis. There's a chance he could pass through waivers unclaimed.
