Littell was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Littell was sent down in late July after he gave up three runs in one inning against the Pirates, but he had tossed 6.1 scoreless frames across his six previous outings. He's posted a 3.44 ERA and 1.32 WHIP in 34 innings with the Giants this year and will provide an extra arm out of the bullpen after outfielder Steven Duggar was sent down Saturday.
