Lopez was called up from Triple-A Syracuse on Friday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Lopez will return to the big leagues after being sent down Sunday, replacing Colin Holderman in the bullpen after the latter was traded to the Pirates on Friday in exchange for Daniel Vogelbach.
