Abreu was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after Friday's game against Detroit, but he'll return to the active roster after left-hander Justin Wilson (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list as part of a corresponding move. Abreu has made three relief appearances for the Yankees to begin the season and has allowed one run on no hits and four walks while striking out seven in five innings.
