Cain will throw less between starts in an effort to keep his elbow as healthy as possible in 2015, CSN Bay Area reports. Returning from any elbow surgery is never an easy process for pitchers, but Cain has been progressing well after having bone chips removed from his throwing elbow last August. He said he will likely substitute between-start bullpen sessions with flat-ground throwing. It was also reported that Cain will likely make just one more minor league spring training start before the regular season gets under way. In his last outing, Cain struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while sitting comfortably in the 90-92 MPH range with his fastball. Assuming good health, Cain could provide good value for how late he is going in drafts.
