Cain struck out seven over 3.1 innings in his second rehab start with Triple-A Sacramento. He threw 74 pitches. The high strikeout rate is a good sign for the rehabbing Cain. His fastball was sitting around 92 MPH, but Cain stated that he was actually more pleased with his breaking ball location. He upped his pitch count from 55 a start ago to 74 this time out. Cain will likely make a couple more rehab starts until he builds his pitch count up to the 90-100 range.
