EDGE Analysis

Although Cain didn't have a great showing at the plate Friday (0-3, 2K), it was encouraging nonetheless that he was able to get back into the lineup for one of his final tuneup opportunities of the spring before Opening Day. Overall, Cain posted a .267 average with five RBI and 13 strikeouts over 45 at-bats this spring. He appears primed to hold down the No. 3 spot in the order for the Royals yet again in 2017.
