Cain (hamstring) was placed on the DL on Saturday, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

EDGE Analysis

Cain was forced out of his last start Friday in the second inning after experiencing pain in his right hamstring. It's since been diagnosed as a strain, and Cain will miss at least the minimum 15 days. Chris Stratton has been recalled from Triple-A Sacramento, and he'll presumably fill Cain's spot in the rotation, temporarily.
