Cain didn't give up a run Friday, surrendering three hits and two walks while striking out three over four innings in the win over the Athletics. Cain looked strong but didn't pitch deep enough into the game to get the win. He logged 79 pitches Friday, but manager Bruce Bochy said after the game that Cain is cleared for 100 pitches in his season debut. The elbow surgery he underwent last year appears to be in the rear-view mirror and Cain should be a solid mid-to-back end starter in fantasy leagues this year.
