Byrd is the most popular trade target on the Phillies' roster in early trade discussions, Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports. The Phillies are rebuilding and shopping most of their veterans. Byrd, 37, hit 25 home runs this season, which is more than any free agent outfielder outside of Nelson Cruz. He is under contract for $8 million in 2015 with an $8 million vesting option for 2016 if he reaches 463 plate appearances next season.
