Byrd is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mets, Stephen Gross of the Morning Call reports. Byrd will get what looks like a routine day off after 10 straight starts, with Grady Sizemore filling in at right. An unidentified team claimed Byrd off revocable waivers earlier in the week, but the 48-hour window for the Phillies to trade him has since passed. The 36-year-old is 8-for-30 (.267 average) with two homers so far in August.
