Following an 0-for-5, three-strikeout showing Friday, Byrd will sit in favor of Grady Sizemore in right field. It's Byrd's second time on the bench in three games, as it seems manager Ryne Sandberg feels the 37-year-old is in need of an extended break after a grueling season. While it's certainly been a disappointing campaign for Philadelphia, that hasn't been the case for Byrd, who's already set a new career high in home runs with 25.
