Byrd is not in the lineup Sunday against the Nationals. With the Nationals sending right-hander Tanner Roark to the mound, manager Bryan Price will start Skip Schumaker in left field while giving Byrd a regular day off. The veteran outfielder had made five straight starts, but is batting just .205 on the year.
