Byrd is not in the lineup Friday, the C. Trent Rosecrans of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. After Thursday's extended game where Byrd saw seven at-bats the Reds opted to give him some rest Friday. He has two home runs in his last six games and remains a source of cheap power. Chris Dominguez will get the start in left Friday.
