Buster Olney of ESPN.com reports that the Marlins have discussed the possibility of presenting Giancarlo Stanton with a "big, crooked" contract offer. Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reported last week that the Marlins have yet to discuss a long-term extension with Stanton, but they'd be crazy to not give it a shot real soon. The 22-year-old slugger could qualify as a Super Two player this winter and remains under team control through the 2016 season.
